VIDEO: Baker Mayfield Gets in Heated Exchange With Reporter and Walks Out of Weekly Press Conference

It took a year and a half, but the disease that infects all Cleveland Browns quarterbacks is started to seep into Baker Mayfield. Mayfield was noticeably short with a reporter in his weekly press conference ahead of their game against Brandon Allen and the Denver Broncos, eventually getting into a vocal back-and-forth before leaving his conference early in a state of complete dejection.

Oh, Baker. Read the temperature of the room.

The Browns are 2-5, although most of their losses have come against vastly superior teams and vastly superior quarterbacks. Cleveland could have gone into this week with tons of positive spirits and momentum given how easy their schedule looks, but Mayfield has done his best to sabotage that.

Baker has built a brand off of being brash and prickly, but this doesn't come off as being gung-ho and intense. It seems petty and unreasonably egotistical. When you have more touchdowns than picks, maybe you're allowed one mulligan.
