Tennessee Star Trey Smith Cleared for Week 1 Game Against Georgia State
By Thomas Carannante

Cue Rocky Top!
The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to shock the SEC in their second year under head coach Jeremy Pruitt and will kick off the season against Georgia State. No, not the most intimidating opponent, but the Vols would be happy to have all their starters get reps as they get acclimated in the early going.
That was once a concern for starting offensive lineman Trey Smith, but not anymore. He's been cleared for Week 1 after being ruled a game-time decision just a couple days ago.

Smith has been dealing with blood clots for a year and a half now, limiting his playing time over the past two seasons. This development is huge for the former 5-star recruit, who is looking to get back on the field and put the issue behind him.
The junior released a statement in wake of the news to assure Tennessee fans he's ready to go.
