The report suggests Thompson threatened the woman during a late night argument, saying he'd "shoot up the school" while threatening to "slap the (expletive) out of" her.
Thompson was identified by a witness within the dorms at the University of Tennessee, whose story was corroborated by two other witnesses.
The young cornerback is set to appear in court early in September, and it's now up to the University of Tennessee to take action regarding the incident. The season is right around the corner for Tennessee, and it's imperative a decision is made prior to kickoff.

At the very least, Thompson should not play another game for the Volunteers until this matter is resolved. Domestic violence should not be tolerated by any organization, professional or college.
Thompson will need to prove he learned from his mistakes if he hopes to play football again.
