VIDEO: Stephen A. Smith Claims Terrance Williams Could Be Weapon for Tom Brady on Cowboys Despite Being Free Agent
By Jackson Thompson

Stephen A. Smith has built a reputation on his disdain for Dallas Cowboys, but it seems as if some of that hatred has translated to pure ignorance. While discussing the potential of Tom Brady making the jump from Foxborough to Dallas, Smith was listing some of the weapons Brady would have at his disposal on the Cowboys. On top of Ezekiel Elliott, the offensive line and Amari Cooper, Smith threw Terrance Williams' name into the ring. Well, the problem is that Williams hasn't been on the Cowboys since 2018.
Stephen A Smith mentioned Terrance Williams as an option that Tom Brady could have if he joined the Dallas Cowboys.

Williams last played for the Cowboys in September of 2018, and his latest ties to football came in the form of a tryout with the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks. He was waived by the team during its final roster cuts.
This is far from the first mistake that Smith has made on air, particularly when discussing the NFL. Just a bit of extra research would have reminded ESPN's talking head of Williams' departure from the Cowboys more than a full season ago. Perhaps someone like Michael Gallup or Randall Cobb would have been a better name to float as an attractive target for Brady.
ESPN needs to double the size of its research department and all the new hires need to work for @stephenasmith only.

For someone who makes a living trashing the Cowboys on live television five days a week, one would think that Smith was dialed in enough to realize that Williams was no longer with the team.
