Steph Curry's passion for basketball has propelled him to game-changing heights on the court, and now he's providing opportunity for Howard University to do the same on the golf course.

The Golden State Warriors point guard's seven-figure donation will allow for the creation of men's and women's Division-I golf teams at the historically black university.

Curry's love for golf is no secret. The three-time champion hosted an annual golf tournament partnered with the ThanksUSA charity and participates in several tournaments during the NBA offseason. Curry was a part of the American Century Championship celebrity tournament in Tahoe last month.

The two-time MVP has some golf content scattered throughout his Instagram, playing in China earlier this summer, where he launched a golf clothing line. Curry also has a mini-golf television series titled Holey Moley on ABC that premiered in June.

Curry's sponsorship will ground the Washington, D.C.-based school's pursuit of improving their D-1 athletics branch in a big way. Having no golf team whatsoever to being sponsored by one of the world's top athletes is a huge step forward for the program.
