Russell Westbrook's Latest Instagram Like Indicates He'd Prefer a Move to Miami
By Sean Facey

The Oklahoma City Thunder have, for lack of a better word, disintegrated. Paul George, Russell Westbrook's co-star, is now a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Westbrook himself seems to want out.
Amid all of the trade rumors regarding him, Westbrook's latest Instagram like suggests that he'd prefer to get dealt to the Miami Heat.

He showed some love for a graphic design featuring him in a rendition of the Heat's "Vice City" threads. Leaks and reports from across the NBA have indicated that a union between Westbrook and the team from South Beach is virtually set in stone.
There's admittedly not much left for him to look forward to with the Thunder. He has practically no talent around him, and though the team snagged a host of draft picks from the Clippers, he'll be past his prime by the time any of them pan out.
OKC acquired THREE unprotected first-round picks from the Clippers in this trade (2022, 2024 and 2026), league sources say, PLUS two firsts from Miami (2021 unprotected and 2023 protected 1-to-14) ... AND the right to swap picks with the Clips in 2023 and 2025. Staggering

The Heat have already made a flurry of moves to open up cap space and create a supporting cast for Westbrook to come join them. A duo of he and newly-acquired star Jimmy Butler could be the perfect core to guide them back to relevance.
Miami has tasted the playoffs just twice in the last two years. The furthest they've advanced in those two postseason appearances is the second round. Pairing the two could push them over the hump.
The Miami Heat are reportedly interested in bringing Russell Westbrook to Miami.

At the very least, Russ seems open to the idea of joining the team. Though we've all become accustomed to seeing Brodie sport Thunder blue and orange year in and year out, a trade to Miami would be the start of a new era for the former MVP.
