Just when things really started looking grim for North Carolina in what has become almost a lost season, a bright light in the shape of a 6-3 rim-rocker has appeared.

Roy Williams confirmed that point guard Cole Anthony participated in 5-on-5 as he looks to return from a knee injury, and he gave him the OK to come back, provided he doesn't feel sore.

Before he went down, Anthony was averaging 19.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Even with his injury, it is still very likely that if whomever ends up with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft needs a point guard, Anthony could be off the board first.

The Tar Heels might have a slim chance at getting anywhere close to an ACC title, but Anthony's return is the catalyst for all of that.

Anthony is one of the most dynamic players at any position in all of college basketball, and Williams can finally run the offense he dreamed he would be running in ACC play, with the explosive Anthony at the center of it all.
