The Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox had to re-do the Mookie Betts trade to get a deal done.

That meant taking the Minnesota Twins out of the equation, and also cancelling the deal that would have sent Ross Stripling to the Los Angeles Angels, likely due to the extended delay. Such a trade would not have been a major move for Stripling, but he still seemed awfully excited to be remaining a Los Angeles Dodger.

He did delete the tweet, but everything lives forever in the form of screenshots.

He kept it subtle, with a GIF of him celebrating, yet it was enough for fans to see that he is happy about staying with the Dodgers and won't be upset at the organization about nearly being dealt.

Others did not appreciate the tweet, however.

Both Stripling and outfielder Joc Pederson were supposed to be dealt to the Angels. Now they stay with the Dodgers, all thanks to the Red Sox not trusting the medicals of pitcher Brusdar Graterol, who is now in the Dodgers organization himself. That is plenty of reason for celebration so close to the start of the season.
