The 2019 NFL season is right around the corner, and yet the blown call that affected the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams in the NFC title game is still a big topic of conversation.

So much so that, according to the Associated Press, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and three other league officials have been called to report before a judge under oath in the lawsuit that's been filed regarding the blown pass interference call.

The attorney who filed the lawsuit is Antonio LeMon, who is only seeking $75, 000 in damages. LeMon also said on Monday that any proceeds that come from this will be donated to the charity of former Saints special teamer Steve Gleason that promotes ALS research.

That's such a great cause, and if that's the only thing that comes from it, it's worth the hassle. However, what is the point of this lawsuit? Do they actually think Goodell and the NFL would admit wrongdoing, if there really was some secret pact to screw the Saints?

It would be great to see Goodell called into court to explain this, but you can bet the NFL will do everything in their power to appeal the ruling so he doesn't have to appear.
