After the landscape-altering moves in the NBA regarding Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the aftermath of those effects are beginning to be seen.

The Thunder are reportedly working with Russell Westbrook and his agent on a solution that would see the veteran point guard traded, and the Rockets have emerged as a likely destination for Westbrook.

After Oklahoma City agreed to deal George for a record haul of draft picks, a trade of Westbrook wouldn't be surprising. What would be surprising is the Rockets trading for a third ball-dominant guard.

A big three of James Harden, Chris Paul and Westbrook seems like a less than ideal combination of NBA superstars.

Neither of Harden or Westbrook are adequate defenders, and their inability to defend could hinder a potential starting lineup featuring the three guards.

Even ignoring the defensive problems that would arise, each player does his best with the ball in his hands. With three ball-dominant guards with strong personalities, it would only be a matter of time before someone complains about a lack of touches. After all, there's only one ball to go around.

No doubt would a Westbrook-Harden-Paul trio be a great thought experiment, but that combination of players could doom the already small window the Rockets currently have.
