As revered as David Ortiz is in Boston for the legendary career he put together with the Red Sox, he is perhaps even more cherished in his native Dominican Republic, where he's done an incredible amount of charity work. Well, the former 10-time All-Star is once again giving back to his home country as he revealed in an Instagram post on Sunday that he's helping fund the "Big Papi" stadium, which figures to be the most upscale ballpark in Latin America and the Caribbean.

My goodness.

The video makes the project look more like a hotel resort than a ballpark. It shows that "Big Papi Stadium" will feature a removable roof, a waterfall behind center field, a swimming pool, a luxurious dining area and (just because) a heliport. Let's not understate the enormous scoreboard and billboards that feature the logo of the Dominican Baseball League, or LIDOM, either.

Ortiz has really outdone himself this time. We cannot wait for this sumptuous stadium to come to life.
