The Tampa Bay Rays are pushing for the playoffs this year, and as a result could be buyers at this year's trade deadline. One name they are connected with is the Brewer's Jesus Aguilar.

It's interesting to see the Brewers potentially giving up talent--albeit struggling talent--given they are in the middle of their own playoff push in the National League.

Aguilar has struggled overall this year, posting a .230 BA with a .328 OBP and only 9 home runs. But as the tweet suggests, Aguilar has played well recently, hopefully increasing his trade value for Milwaukee.

Another variable to consider is Milwaukee's side of the return. It's likely the Brewers will request players that could immediately help in a playoff push, rather than low-level minor league prospects. The Brewers were a game away from the World Series last season and are pursuing a return to the playoffs this year.

It should be interesting to follow the deadline this coming week. Rumors are that it could surprisingly be a quiet July 31, but there are so many names floating around that the deadline also has the potential to shake up the landscape of the MLB.
