Ravens Signing DJ Fluker Right After Seahawks Released Him Proves Seattle Made a Big Mistake

So many hearts in Seattle broke over the weekend when Seahawks linemen DJ Fluker and Justin Britt announced they had been released by the team. Everyone just wanted to know why.
In the case of Fluker, while the Seahawks saved $3.68 million against the cap by releasing No. 78, the fact that the Baltimore Ravens wasted no time and already snatched him up shows how valuable he truly is. With Fluker gone, is Seattle going to bet big on third-round pick Damien Lewis of LSU?

I was released by the Seahawks today. Couple of things: I am not upset, or hurt. This is a business and one that I’ve been in for a while. I want to thank John and Pete for their very thoughtful calls.
Stay safe, be kind and I love y’all.
Thank you, Seattle.
Seattle's front office clearly made mixing up the offensive line the priority this offseason. They've signed what feels like 30 linemen. Cutting ties with Britt will save the team $8.5 million against the cap, which is obviously huge. However, will this lead to them bringing back Jadeveon Clowney on a monster deal. If they don't, what's John Schneider doing?
Fluker was rock solid in protecting Russell Wilson and did a fine job opening up holes for Seahawks running backs. Letting him go and then watching sign with a team that is expected to push for a Super Bowl next season stings -- even more so when you see how classy Fluker has been since his release and how much love his former teammates have been showering him with.
Fluke!!!

Going to miss you bro! Keep bringing the energy. Love you bro! ????
Homies for life. https://t.co/e7AyuHDVUu
Yes, the NFL is a business, but Schneider very well could end up regretting his decision to cut Fluker. The RG spot for Seattle is now totally up in the air for next season and beyond. From this chair, the move just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
