Rams Reveal Todd Gurley is Out for Key Divisional Game vs 49ers
By Ryan Giglio

The Los Angeles Rams announced on Saturday that running back Todd Gurley will not play this week against the unbeaten 49ers.
Gurley's knee was a big concern this offseason after a lackluster postseason performance. However, it is a thigh contusion suffered in a Week 5 loss that will keep him sidelined.

In Gurley's absence, the Rams are expected to use mostly Malcom Brown and some of rookie Darrell Henderson on Sunday.
On 26 carries in 2019, Brown has 114 yards and two touchdowns while Henderson has seen action in only two snaps.
The team also signed John Kelly off of its practice squad to add depth to the position.

While Gurley's usage and numbers are down this season, he still has five touchdowns and is a presence that scares opposing teams.
Sunday's matchup against first-place San Francisco is huge for the 3-2 Rams. LA has not been as dominant as it was last season, and a loss may seriously damage the team's postseason hopes.
