The Rams will be missing a key member of their secondary when they host the San Francisco 49ers, and that may not be all the team is lacking.

Per Adam Schefter, the team has already ruled out veteran cornerback Aqib Talib for Sunday's contest, while listing star running back Todd Gurley as doubtful.

Talib is dealing with a ribs injury and did not participate in practice throughout the week. Being ruled out two days prior to the matchup is certainly a concerning sign.

As for Gurley, he also was slapped with the DNP label for both Wednesday and Thursday practices, though he has yet to be ruled out for the contest.

Gurley, who has notoriously been playing through injuries over the past couple of seasons, will likely be a game-time decision for the Rams, though fans may hope the team opts to keep him sidelined in order to avoid further damage to his ailing quadriceps.

Gurley's backup, Malcolm Brown, would likely assume the role of lead back, while Nickell Robey-Coleman is likely the next man up in the secondary.
