Raiders CB Gareon Conley Expected to Play Against Chiefs Despite Suffering Neck Injury on MNF
By Thomas Carannante

The Monday Night Football matchup between the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos came to a screeching halt when cornerback Gareon Conley was stretchered off the field after suffering a neck injury in the third quarter.
There was a ton of concern surrounding the young Raiders defender, but he's had an incredibly quick turnaround. Conley is now expected to play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.

Conley's teammate, Johnathan Abram, who coincidentally is out for the season after suffering a torn rotator cuff, came in to finish the tackle on Broncos RB Royce Freeman and crashed into Conley's head, which caused the injury.
The Raiders' secondary would've been in big trouble if both Conley and Abram were out, especially against a high-powered Chiefs offense, but what's most important is that the former Ohio State star's injury isn't nearly as serious as initially thought.
