For someone used to getting everything and everyone he wants on the recruiting trail, it's been a rough few weeks for Alabama head coach Nick Saban. He's seen former Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt land another 5-star talent at Tennessee, while quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa has put his name in the transfer portal.

Alabama could be in for some good news for the first time in a long time, however, as 4-star safety Kaine Williams is supposed to make his commitment on May 15, and all signs point to him going to Alabama over SEC West rivals LSU and Texas A&M.

Williams is a 6-2, 205 pound safety from John Ehret HS in Marreo, La. With his speed, size, and physicality all earning exemplary marks, it makes sense as to why every SEC school wanted him.

Williams loves going downhill and thumping ball-carriers, and that is exactly what Saban wants his box defensive backs to do.

After a rare cold spell in recruiting, Saban and the Crimson Tide might be able to get their groove back if they land a talented youngster like Williams. In a few days, Williams will likely pledge his future to the Tide.
