Pittsburgh Sports Personality Unleashes Scorching Mason Rudolph Take We Can't Believe

If there is ONE thing that local sports personalities should always refrain from, it's delivering mind-numbing hot takes that convey palpable biases to the local teams.

Well, it appears that Andrew Fillipponi, a sports talk radio host in Pittsburgh, is completely ignorant of that basic understanding. That, or he flat out knows nothing about football.

Folks, Filliponi took to Twitter on Friday afternoon with a scorching-hot take surrounding Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and other QB's in the NFL that he would take the young gunslinger over.

If you just regurgitated your dinners, that's entirely fine. How could you not?

What evidence is there to suggest that Rudolph shouldn't be the NFL's 30th ranked quarterback? He's completing 67 percent of his passes in four games (three starts), but the Steelers are only asking him to throw the pigskin 23 times per game because of his apparent limitations.

One could argue that NONE of Fillipponi's assessment is accurate. Joe Flacco is a Super Bowl champion; Mitch Trubisky had a 24:12 touchdown to interception ration in 2018; Jameis Winston has thrown for 100 touchdowns in his career; Andy Dalton has a career record of 68-56-2; Jared Goff led the Rams to a Super Bowl in 2018; and stats prove that Baker Mayfield is an elite QB when his offensive line actually decides to give him time in the pocket.

Sure, we could go on for hours about the evident flaws in each of the aforementioned quarterbacks, but those stats alone prove their superiority over Rudolph, a guy that has just THREE starts under his belt in the league.

He's good enough to get the nod over Devlin Hodges, an undrafted rookie out of Samford, a freaking FCS school mind you. That's about it.
