Photo of 'Noose' Found in Bubba Wallace's Garage Revealed and it's Disturbing
By Jerry Trotta

Not long after Bubba Wallace helped urge NASCAR to ban the Confederate flag from its races and tracks, it appeared that a sick individual committed a hate crime against the only black driver in the sport's top circuit.
NASCAR warned Wallace that a noose was found in his team's garage stall last Sunday. However, an FBI investigation revealed that it was actually a pull rope fashioned like a noose, and had been on the door since as early as October.
Well, NASCAR provided a photo of the rope on Thursday, and it proves that the misstep was no laughing matter.
NASCAR releases photo to the media of the garage pull rope formed as a noose from the Bubba Wallace garage Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway.

With none of these in the area, you'd have made the same judgment.
The FBI's findings don't at all take away from NASCAR's united stand next to Wallace during the resumption of the race. After all, the driver of the No. 43 Chevrolet isn't entirely convinced that this was merely a misunderstanding.
"Somebody knows. Whoever tied it knows how to tie a noose. And that's fine," Wallace told ESPN. "I don't know if they did it with hate in their heart or what as a joke, but it ended up being a misunderstanding, some will say. But unfortunately, I hate that I'm kinda on the bad end of the deal because of it, just because I was simply given information related to me and we went on with it."
Despite being upset with the situation, Wallace released an emotional statement following the FBI's investigation, in which he asserted that he was "relieved" with how this played out in the end.

Anybody calling this an overreaction from Wallace and NASCAR is part of the problem. The fact that the FBI was involved proves that we are making the right strides in the fight against racism.
