Phillies Send Message of Encouragement to Andrew McCutchen After Devastating Injury News
By Ryan Flores

This is one of those things every MLB fan has a tough time digesting.
On Tuesday, Andrew McCutchen was diagnosed with a torn ACL and will officially be out for the season, and likely a portion of 2020.

McCutchen was in his first year of a three-year, $50 million deal with the Philadelphia Phillies, so this is an incredibly tough blow, especially for the first-place NL East team.
In wake of the news, the Phillies sent out an encouraging message to the veteran who has been a valuable part of their success.
Keep smiling, @TheCUTCH22.

This has got to be so disheartening for Phillies fans, as they had high hopes for an outfield of McCutchen, Odubel Herrera and Bryce Harper, and now it's just Harper, Jay Bryce and whoever else they decide to roll out in center field. It's possible that recently promoted prospect Adam Haseley could see some playing time, but it's unlikely he'll have the same impact as Cutch.
#Phillies No. 3 prospect Adam Haseley will be called up to the Majors on Tuesday for his big league debut.

The Phillies will have to continue to fight through adversity as the season progresses.
