An already formidable Los Angeles Clippers team is now inching ever closer to becoming arguably the best team in the league.

Offseason acquisition Paul George, who is recovering from multiple offseason shoulder surgeries, is already participating in 3-on-3 scrimmages. While there's still no timetable for his return, it seems as though he and head coach Doc Rivers expect him to be back soon after the Clippers have played their first 10 games.

If that's the case, then he could be out on the court within two weeks. They've fared well without him to this point, managing a 4-2 record through their first six games, and it's reasonable to assume that they'll be even better once he's suiting up alongside fellow superstar Kawhi Leonard.

A six-time All-Star who's been named to four NBA All-Defensive teams during his career, Paul George would make an already-stout team borderline lethal. The defensive combination of him and Leonard could very well be able to stifle any team in the league.

His impending return should have any cautiously optimistic Clippers fans jumping for joy. As for the rest of the league, fans and players alike should be quaking in their boots.

Even if PG is not playing at full-throttle, the Clippers will still be a handful for their opponents, they're just that deep.
