Patriots Fans Shouldn't Be Concerned With Loss of Josh Gordon
By Evan Wolff

Josh Gordon came in to 2019 with high expectations. Many around the league expected the embattled receiver to fulfill his potential with the Patriots after overcoming substance abuse issues and getting yet another chance in the NFL.
However, after the news broke that Gordon would be placed on season-ending IR with a knee injury, Patriots fans likely began to worry about Tom Brady's diminishing offensive options.

Then again, if there's anything that Bill Belichick has taught Patriots fans, it's that there is always an answer to every problem. Prior to Wednesday's news, New England acquired Mohamed Sanu from the Falcons for a second-round pick, presumably to fill the role that Gordon is leaving behind.
Sanu is a severely underrated receiver, with much of his talent getting overshadowed by his now-former teammate Julio Jones. Sanu still has the crucial ability of getting himself separation, and should be an immediate target in the juggernaut New England offense.
Mohamed Sanu averages 3.7 yards of separation when targeted this season, 5th-best among wide receivers (min. 20 targets).

Tom Brady will have plenty of options to move the ball downfield with Julian Edelman and Phillip Dorsett also serving as reliable targets. Not counting the impending return of N'Keal Harry, here's what the New England receivers look like heading in to Sunday:

Then they can add N'Keal Harry to this group next week.
Yes, the loss of Josh Gordon is unfortunate, and he is a significant talent. But there is nothing to worry about New England fans. You guys won the Super Bowl without him last year and this shouldn't be at all a paramount issue considering how weak the AFC is this season.
