Twitter had all the jokes when they found out former LSU quarterback and 2019 Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow's hand size was only nine inches. Burrow responded with a jest of his own, saying that he was contemplating retirement after finding out his hands were too small to hold a football.

To put his mind at ease, reigning Super Bowl MVP and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes responded to let Burrow know that he'd be just fine.

As the probable No. 1 pick in this year's NFL Draft, there are people eager to pick Burrow apart and call him the next bust. This time, the talking point was his small hands.

For perspective, the 5-10 Kyler Murray has 9.5 inch hands, compared to the nine inch paws the 6-4 Burrow sports.

The other two first-round quarterbacks whose hands were similarly small were Ryan Tannehill and Jared Goff, both of whom were coached by current Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor. The Bengals have the No. 1 pick in this year's draft.

We'll see if Burrow's hand size truly has any effect on his NFL career. It seemed to have little effect on his college career, as he anchored one of the best offensive teams college football has ever seen.
