Packers Legend Brett Favre Sends Emotional Tweet in Honor of Bart Starr After His Death
By Parker White

On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers lost one of the most beloved people in franchise history when quarterback Bart Starr passed away.
After the football icon's passing at the age of 85, fellow Packers legend quarterback Brett Favre took to Twitter and sent out an emotional tweet about Starr.
Bart Starr was the most kind, thoughtful and classiest person you could ever know. I consider myself extremely lucky to have called him friend and to have been mentioned in the same breath. Deanna and I are praying for Cherry and the Starr family. #RIPBartStarr

As you can see by his tweet, Starr meant a lot to Favre, both on and off the football field. Favre is a Hall of Famer himself, but he goes on to say that he's lucky to be mentioned in the same breath as Starr.

There's no question that Starr and Favre join Aaron Rodgers as the three greatest quarterbacks in franchise history. You can have a debate on the order, but Green Bay is lucky to have three Hall of Fame quarterbacks (Rodgers down the road) on their hands.
The Packers community and family is certainly one of the greatest.
