Packers Legend Brett Favre Gives Patrick Mahomes a Shoutout on Twitter After Meeting the Chiefs QB

When you look at Patrick Mahomes' uncanny and sometimes reckless desire to make something out of nothing, you can't help but think of Hall-of-Fame quarterback Brett Favre.

In fact, the former 11-time Pro Bowler previously acclaimed the future and potential of the NFL's reigning MVP in a July interview with the Akron Beacon-Journal.

Fast forward roughly a month later, however, and Favre and Mahomes finally got to meet and the Packers legend took to Twitter to shout out the young phenom.

If you somehow didn't already presume that Showtime was destined for greatness, maybe the confidence that Favre has continuously displayed in the 23-year-old will do the trick.

Being called a "legend" by a QB who ranks in the top five in league history in terms of passing yards, touchdowns, and completions should do nothing but humble Mahomes and further inspire his ambitions.

Perhaps Country can teach the Texas Tech product a little something about the all-important aspect of durability. After all, Favre holds the absurd record of 299 consecutive games played.

There's no doubting that Mahomes is on the right path, but a little encouragement from one of the best to ever do it at the QB position never hurts.
