The Ohio State Buckeyes are an unstoppable recruiting machine, and they just nabbed a top prospect from their hated rivals in the Penn State Nittany Lions.

4-star offensive tackle Grant Toutant has decommitted from Penn State in order to officially join the Buckeyes on Sunday.

Penn State and Ohio State have long fought over Toutant, with the Nittany Lions securing him back in November. Toutant was also pursued by Wisconsin, Michigan State, Duke and Indiana.

Despite that, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day visited the 6-6, 280-pound tackle at his Michigan high school, Warren De La Salle, in January and delivered a new offer. After much thought, Toutant decided to switch sides and join the Buckeyes.

Toutant ranks as the 324th overall prospect in the nation, 27th among offensive tackles, and listed as the ninth-best prospect in Michigan, according to 247Sports Composite.

The Buckeyes have strengthened their offensive line unit at the expense of Penn State. As a result, Ohio State now ranks as the eighth-best recruiting class in 2020.
