The Ohio State Buckeyes thrive in the recruiting process. Now, they've added to their riches with their latest prospect.

Cincinnati La Salle kicker Jake Seibert, who many view as the nation's best, announced his commitment to Ohio State on Tuesday.

"I chose OSU because it's been a dream of mine since I was a kid," Seibert told BuckeyeGrove.com. "Now that I have an opportunity to play here, it only makes sense. I'm close enough to my family that I will be able to come home whenever I need and my family will be able to visit me as well."

Seibert received an official offer from the Buckeyes in May and recently went for an on-campus visit. The potential No. 1 kicker in the country also garnered interest from the UCLA Bruins and Michigan State Spartans.

As Seibert mentions, being close to his family played a definite factor in his decision -- that, and he'll have access to his kicking coach, Andrew Gantz.

In his junior season at La Salle, Seibert successfully converted all six of his field goal attempts (46-yard long) and made 16-of-17 PATs.

Seibert will make his arrival to Ohio State in the summer of 2020.
