Michigan football is one of the most historic brands in college sports. For the better part of the last decade, however, the Wolverines have been living off of their history rather than producing more of it on the field. One of the prime examples of this struggle? Their abysmal losing streak against Ohio State.

In a tweet that asked if UM’s helmet is the most recognizable in college football, former Ohio State quarterback and national champion Cardale Jones gave his take on what he thinks the famous Maize and Blue helmet looks like, and he did not hold back on the savagery.

The rivalry of “The Game” still runs deep even now that Jones has been a handful of years removed from his time in Columbus. While Jones never started a full season, he will still go down in OSU history as a quarterback who emerged from the bench and led the 2014 Bucks to a Big Ten championship and two College Football Playoff victories en route to a national title.

Even some Buckeye fans got in on the fun in terms of recognizing some memorable moments from Jones’ career in spite of Michigan.

It has been nine long years since the Wolverines took down their rival Buckeyes. Until late November when the two meet up again, Jones and the rest of the Scarlet and Gray faithful will hold it over UM’s heads... or should we say their “recognizable” helmets?
