The All-Star Game is one of the most exciting basketball events of the year, as the league's top players are assembled for one exciting game. In recent years, the scores have reached record high numbers, so the NBA has been implementing new tactics to keep the game more competitive.
Along with the dismissal of the East-West format (highest vote-getters are the captains) and monetary donations to the winners of each quarter, the NBA has added a new twist to the game in honor of Kobe Bryant.
