Juan Soto is a full-grown man, albeit a young one. It would be hard for so many of us to have accomplished as much as he has at such a young age and keep the ol' noggin screwed on right. The Washington Nationals phenom was still just 20 years old when the 2019 postseason began, and by the time the dust settled, he was a World Series champ -- but don't assume that's got him entering the new season with any lack of motivation or drive.

In fact, he's not considering it a given that he's going to make the Opening Day roster.

Sure, big man!

Jests aside, it's still the exact kind of outlook Nats fans should want to see from the Dominican slugger, who burst onto the scene two seasons ago and has quickly emerged as one of the brightest young talents in all of baseball. A little humility goes a long way, especially at a time in baseball in which every other headline has something to do with shameless, brazen cheating.

He's got himself a ring, but his journey is only beginning. Fair play to Juan Soto for having a bit of fun at our expense as he mounts up for another run at glory.
