MMA fans went into a frenzy on Thursday when it was suggested they'd be deprived of a scintillating UFC 244 headliner on Nov. 2 between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal.

The United States Anti-Doping Agency allegedly found that Diaz tested positive for a banned substance -- SARM (selective androgen receptor module) -- and Diaz came out an adamantly denied the rumors before anything was reported, beating everyone to the punch. Even Masvidal took to Twitter to show his support for the 34-year-old fighter.

Well, in the wee hours of Friday night, the USADA deemed Diaz eligible for the highly-anticipated bout, ruling that he did not violate any anti-doping policies. The agency found that the SARMS in his system was traced to a tarnished organic daily multivitamin.

That sound you hear is thousands of UFC devotees breathing a compiled and profound sigh of relief. Heck, they should be breaking the sound barrier in sheer elation.

Fans have been clamoring for the Diaz-Masivdal showdown for the better part of a year, and that excitement came to a head when it was finally announced in the first week of September.

Diaz, as we know, is one of the toughest fighters in the sport. Just imagine the intensity he'll bring into the Octagon next Saturday night after having his name cleared from a wrongful doping allegation.

Get your popcorn ready, folks.
