Nate Diaz Puts UFC 244 Bout With Jorge Masvidal in Doubt After Apparent Positive PED Test

It pains us to share that MMA maniacs may be deprived of one of the more captivating headline bouts the sport has seen in quite some time.

A drug test may force Nate Diaz out of UFC 244 headliner with Jorge Masvidal could be OFF after the United States Anti-Doping Agency allegedly found that he tested positive for a banned substance, SARM (selective androgen receptor module). As expected, Diaz adamantly denied the rumors and insisted that he will not appear in the Octagon again until his name is cleared. Fair warning, folks, the post contains an abundance of profanities.

It's impossible to voice an opinion on his supposed cheating until all of the details are disclosed, but this news should absolutely be viewed as a massive buzzkill.

This fight was simply one that fans have been drooling at the thought of witnessing since it was announced in early September.

Masvidal himself, however, has just found out about the postponement and he went out of his way on Twitter to assert his backing of Diaz, claiming that he's one of the "cleanest" fighters in the sport. Masvidal is still game, however, and is even convinced that the bout set to take place on Nov. 2 at Madison Square Garden will proceed has planned.

UFC has yet to announce what Diaz's positive test means for the 244 card, but stay tuned for updates and a statement from UFC president Dana White.
