Mike Zimmer is Definitely Going to Cut Vikings CB Holton Hill After He Was Suspended Again
By Sean Facey

Minnesota Vikings defensive back Holton Hill was suspended by the NFL once again. This time around, it's a four-game hiatus for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Now that he's expected to miss an additional four games this year for a total of eight, it seems all but certain that head coach Mike Zimmer is going to cut him given how he's disciplined players in the past.

It's not like there's no precedent for it. The team cut ties with suspended running back Roc Thomas after he was suspended.
There's really not much of a point in Zimmer keeping him around. Hill, an undrafted rookie free agent who signed on with the team ahead of the 2018 campaign, was initially suspended for four games in April for violating the league's performance enhancing drugs policy.
This latest suspension, though, would force him to miss half the season. He'd only be eligible to return in Week 9 when the team is in Kansas City to take on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

The 22-year-old defensive back managed one interception and seven passes defended in his rookie year in 2018. While he showed plenty of promise, it's hard to justify wasting a roster spot on him when he isn't even going to play for half of the season.
Zimmer and the Vikings are looking to bust out after a disappointing 8-7-1 performance last year, and the last thing they need is to spend their time pondering whether or not to keep around players who can't seem to stay eligible.
