Michigan Freshman WR Quintel Kent Ruled Out for Season With 'Unfortunate Medical Findings'
By Mark Powell

That's one less target for Shea Patterson and the Michigan offense.
Former 3-star wideout from Ohio and current Wolverines freshman Quintel Kent won't play this season, as he has yet to be medically cleared.
No specifics yet on the "unfortunate medical findings," but Michigan will be without freshman wideout Quintel Kent this season. https://t.co/HCFMH4bftG

As of now, we don't have any specifics on these aforementioned medical issues, but it does put a damper on the expectations for Kent in his first season in maize and blue, as he was expected to have at least a limited role in the Michigan offense.
"Due to some unfortunate medical findings, I will not have the opportunity to participate in this year's football season," Kent wrote in a statement. "I would like to thank Michigan and especially my family for the endless amounts of support. I will continue to pursue my education at the University. Although I don't fully understand this part of my journey, I trust in God's plan for what the future holds. Go Blue."
Quintel Kent was one of five WRs #Michigan brought in in its 2019 recruiting class, but will miss the entire 2019 campaign.https://t.co/LFgVD6K6LB

Thankfully for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan, their wide receiving corps is actually a strength heading into the year, led by the likes of Donovan Peoples-Jones and Tarik Black (assuming he can finally stay healthy).
For Kent, he'll take the year to learn the ins and outs of the Michigan offense, and hopefully earn a medical redshirt should he choose to raise the issue with the NCAA.
