Miami Fires OC Dan Enos After Getting Shut Out In Independence Bowl
By Michael Luciano

When you get shut out in the Independence Bowl by Louisiana Tech, you probably shouldn't expect your keycard to work the next day.
Embattled Miami offensive coordinator Dan Enos was fired after a 6-7 season that was capped off with the Hurricanes failing to score a point in a 14-0 loss to Skip Holtz and the Bulldogs in Shreveport.

Enos got his start in major college football as a running backs coach with Michigan State before taking the Central Michigan head coaching job in 2010. After going 26-36 in five years, making two bowl games, and helping Cooper Rush make it to the NFL, he resigned to take an OC job at Arkansas, where he mentored both Brandon Allen and Austin Allen at quarterback.
In 2018, Enos was the quarterbacks coach for Tua Tagovailoa and Alabama. he was a candidate for the head coaching job at Kansas before his ill-fated move to Miami.
Be it with Jarren Williams, N'Kosi Perry, or Tate Martell at quarterback, Miami never looked like they could get into a groove offensively or rip off big plays down the field. Hires like this is why alums and fans alike aren't exactly sold on Manny Diaz in Coral Gables.
UM paid $4 million dollars to Temple to hire Manny Diaz. What an absolute finesse, @Temple_FB.

Enos has proven himself as a position coach at this level, and has even managed to perform quite nicely as an offensive coordinator previously, but he just was not working with the group they had in Miami. Diaz's quest of getting the Hurricanes back to greatness will continue onward without Enos in tow.
