The MLB community still remains devastated following the death of young Angels hurler Tyler Skaggs back in July. To make matters even worse, it was recently revealed Skaggs died from an accidental drug overdose.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is investigating the case amid all of the troubling reports and allegations coming out of the Angels organization. As a result, the DEA has reportedly interviewed both current and former Angels players to get more intel on what could have possibly led to the tragedy. Matt Harvey was among those who spoke to officials.

Per multiple reports, Noe Ramirez, Andrew Heaney and Trevor Cahill were also interviewed in addition to others.

On July 1, Skaggs was found dead in a hotel room. The autopsy revealed he had fentanyl and oxycodone and alcohol in his system. Over the weekend, new reports surfaced stating the Angels were aware of Skaggs' drug abuse. The team has since denied these allegations.

Now, the DEA is working closely to see exactly what happened, and what the Angels knew before Skaggs ultimately passed away. More is surely to surface in the coming days and weeks.
