Mason Crosby is now set to become the NFL's third highest-paid kicker at the age of 35. The 13-year Packers veteran re-signed with Green Bay on Saturday, to a three-year $12.9 million contract.

Crosby will make $6 million in the first year of the deal, and that number jumps to $9.5 million in 2021. According to Over The Cap, the only two kickers making more than Crosby are Baltimore Ravens fan favorite Justin Tucker at $20 million, and 15-year journeyman Robbie Gould, who is making $19 million with the San Francisco 49ers.

Crosby is coming off a career-best season in field goal percentage, in which he hit 22 of 24 field goals, his fewest misses as a pro. Among NFL kickers that have attempted at-least 12 field goals, Crosby finished fourth in field goal percentage.

Crosby is lucky his contract didn't expire one year earlier, as 2018 was arguably his worst season in six years. Crosby missed seven field goals in 2018, with three of those coming in critical, late-fourth quarter, lead-changing situations.

Crosby could be the oldest active kicker in the NFL by the time his contract expires.
