LSU Lands Previously-Undecided 4-star LB From Georgia
By Michael Luciano

Ed Orgeron and LSU are dominating on the recruiting trail after a 13-0 season, and the 4-stars continue to flow into Baton Rouge as the early signing period is in full swing.
4-star Georgia linebacker Phillip Webb became the latest start defender to commit to LSU.

Webb never considered Georgia too heavily, which had to be a blow for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. Alabama and Florida were among Webb's finalists, but Orgeron and the Tigers won out.
At 230 pounds, Webb has the physicality to bang between the tackles, but also has enough speed to drop into coverage and make plays in the passing game. Expect Webb to earn some time in the LSU linebacker rotation as soon as he gets down in Baton Rouge.

The No. 42 player in the country and No. 4 OLB gives LSU nine top-100 commits and four players from Georgia.
LSU's defense has sent the likes of Devin White to the pros from the linebacker position in recent years, and Webb could be among the net to make that jump in a few years time, provided he gets consistent playing time in Dave Aranda's defense.
