Lane Kiffin's Schedule in First Ole Miss Season is Absolutely Brutal
By Michael Luciano

With the hiring of Florida Atlantic's Lane Kiffin as head coach, Ole Miss is expecting a pretty quick fix after years of mediocrity in the SEC West.
Kiffin's tenure in Oxford could get off to a really rocky start if you look at his first five games. While there is an easy win against an FCS team in there, he has to play Matt Rhule's Baylor on a neutral field, take on a tough Auburn defense, go on the road to play LSU, and then come back to Oxford for a game against Alabama.

At a minimum, that's 1-4. To take an EXTREMELY optimistic view on how quickly Kiffin will turn this program around, they could go 2-3.
Ole Miss isn't devoid of talent, but Kiffin is going to have a brutal re-introduction to how tough being the head coach of an SEC football team can be. Do you expect John Rhys Plumlee to seriously threaten any of these teams, even in a Kiffin offense?

Kiffin will at least make Ole Miss watchable, but he is going to be given a crash course in how hard the SEC West can be.
