This matchup will be decided, unsurprisingly, by if the Lakers show up for a full 48 minutes, and don't play down to their opponents. The Lakers are undefeated to start the new year (7-0) and will look to carry that momentum in to the upcoming five-game road trip.

D.J. Augustin (sore left knee) and Michael Carter-Williams (AC joint sprain, left shoulder) will not play tonight at L.A. Lakers.
The Magic, on the other hand, are laboring to try to make the playoffs, sitting at 7th in the Eastern Conference. Despite this, they have won five out of their last seven, and should not be taken lightly.
Orlando will depend heavily on the contributions of Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon, per usual, and will need to play a near-flawless game to have any chance of stealing a game on the road.
