The New York Knicks remain the NBA's version of Sideshow Bob repeatedly stepping on a rake and hitting himself in the face. Just when you think they couldn't embarrass themselves any worse, they managed to top their latest goof with an even dumber stunt.

Legendary Knicks fan Spike Lee claims that he is no longer going to attend Knicks games this season after a confrontation with security, which started after he entered Madison Square Garden via the employee entrance.

Lee claims he has used the entrance for years. Knicks PR responded by calling Lee's defense on 'First Take' this morning laughable, while making it sound like this has been an ongoing problem for years.

How can anyone keep taking this franchise seriously? Who thought that accusing one of the team's biggest fans of perpetuating "a false controversy" was a good strategy?

And they wonder why all the star free agents keep giving them the cold shoulder. This is nothing short of ridiculous.

We have finally reached the point where Lee is going up against his beloved Knicks. Leave it to Dolan to alienate his most loyal fan because of a disagreement about entrances.

The Knicks seem like even more of a tire fire than they usually are, and that's a damn shame.
