The New York Knicks have found their temporary successor to former head coach David Fizdale in an assistant coach.

New York announced today that Mike Miller will be serving as the interim coach until a new head coach is appointed.

Miller spent four years as the Knicks' G-League coach and was named the G-League Coach of the Year following the 2017-2018 season. Since then he has been promoted to the Knicks' bench.

Ousted alongside Fizdale was assistant coach Keith Smart.

Across less than two seasons with the Knicks, Fizdale posted a 21-83 record, failing to turn the struggling organization around.

In order to fill Miller's vacant spot on the bench the Knicks have decided to call up Keith Bogans from their G-League coaching staff.

Considering it'd be a miracle for Miller to suddenly get results with a roster like this don't expect any more coaching changes soon. That cannot be said for other backroom positions however.
