Klay Thompson to Serve as Warriors Sideline Analyst Wednesday in Seriously Weird Move

Has Golden State Warriors' shooting guard Klay Thompson found his post-NBA career in... sideline reporting?

Obviously not, but the Warriors did reveal the currently-injured All-Star guard will serve as their sideline reporter during Wednesday's tilt against the Chicago Bulls.

Someone must've forgotten to alert their typical sideline reporter Kerith Burke, as she seemed just as surprised as the rest of us by the announcement.

As Thompson is taking Burke's job it only seems right that Burke would take his job now, right? I'm sure that she could give the Warriors a solid 15 minutes.

Joking aside this seems to be a pretty strange move from Golden State. It's not uncommon for players to take part in brief interviews on the sideline, but for them to be conducting the actual interview is truly unique.

This will be interesting to watch unfold and would be a good test of whether or not the Washington State alum would excel in the journalism field.

We'll see how Thompson compares to Burke when it comes to offering details and updates on players. But in truth, we're sure Warriors fans are just excited to see Thompson getting involved in the 2019-20 season on some level.
