Kawhi Leonard Should Wait to Announce Free Agency Decision Just to Drive Skip Bayless Insane

Today marks the sixth official day of NBA free agency, and Kawhi Leonard has still not inked a new contract.

Virtually every other high-profile player came off the board within minutes of the free agency period beginning, but Kawhi is taking his sweet time and Skip Bayless is not happy about it:

Sorry Skip, but unfortunately, the Klaw does not care about your opinions.

Kawhi has always done things his own way, so why would free agency be any different?

The guy was an All-NBA honoree and the NBA Finals MVP as a member of the Toronto Raptors, so I think he has earned the right to take a few days to determine his future franchise in the NBA.

What many reporters don't seem to understand is that NBA players don't care if there is a day lacking news or rumors. It's the job of commentators to worry about those things and how to fill air time, not athletes.

Just to prove a point, Leonard should wait as long as possible to announce his new organization. It's the only way to him to show how much power he truly has off the court, and it'd be a way to get under the skin of the nuisance that is Bayless.

The Lakers, Clippers, and Raptors all remain in the hunt in the Kawhi sweepstakes, but it is unclear whether the All-Star is leaning one way or another.
