Kansas City Radio Host Taken Off Air Indefinitely After Andy Reid Comments
By Ryan Flores

On Tuesday, justice was served for Monday's actions, as Kansas City radio host Kevin Kietzman was suspended indefinitely from appearing on his sports radio talk show "Between The Lines" after his comments about Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid and his handling of his players/personal life.

Kietzman was initially discussing wide receiver Tyreek Hill, before he decided to indict Reid for poor personnel control by injecting his family into the conversation, claiming the plight of Reid's sons was enough to justify the opinion that he couldn't handle troubled figures.
Luckily, there were ramifications for Kietzman's actions.
Whoever this clown is that said this, you are trash for referencing Andy Reid and his family and his son. You don’t “fix” people dumb ass. To speak about another man’s child is out of bounds. Embarrassing what people will do to try and be relevant. https://t.co/MW9QMveDbN

This was enough to set off NFL analyst Louis Riddick, who had very strong words to say on the matter, and rightfully so.
Of course, the immediate interpretation of Kietzman's comments centered around Reid's son Garrett, who died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2012. Kietzman noticed the backlash on his comments late Monday night, and attempted to do some damage control, but of course, it was to no avail.
Holy hat what’s going on here? I never mentioned one word about the tragic death of Andy Reid’s son and quickly corrected a caller who did. I was talking about the owner’s record of “fixing” players, the team’s record and Andy’s record. I was referencing the drug (1/3)

It doesn't stop here.
addiction and convictions for dealing drugs. When they served time and Reid hired them to work for his football teams, it was no longer a private matter. But blaming a parent for the death of their child in these circumstances is unthinkable and reprehensible. Period. It (2/3)

Of course, there's more.

After the failed attempt to make amends on Monday night, Kietzman finally posted an apology video on Twitter on Tuesday. At this point, however, the damage he had done was clearly irreparable, and he was removed from his post.
With sincerest apologies to coach Andy Reid. pic.twitter.com/sVYpYBChbU

The backlash on Twitter has been immense, and fans have even started a petition to get Kietzman removed from the Kansas City radio station entirely. There's a huge chance that Kietzman never works for WHB again, which would be the smartest move the station could make at this juncture.
