Josh Gordon Officially Returns to Patriots After Reinstatement

It looks like the Patriots are officially getting reinforcements to their young receiving corps this season with the recent news of a familiar face back in the locker room.
Josh Gordon's reinstatement is official, as he was seen inside the Patriots' locker room on Monday. The team placed him on the Non-Football Injury list and released receiver Dontrelle Inman.

The often suspended receiver is getting another shot at the NFL after stepping away from the team late last season. He vowed to step away from the game to focus on his mental health.
His battle with drugs is no secret, as the receiver has been suspended countless times for failing drug tests. The commissioner is now putting the fate of Gordon in his own hands.

In 12 games last season, Gordon was relatively productive for the Patriots. The receiver caught 41 passes for 737 yards and four touchdowns.
Outside of Julian Edelman, the Patriots have young, inexperienced receivers on the roster. If Gordon can finally pull it together, he can be a dangerous weapon on the outside for Tom Brady.
