Johnny Manziel Backtracks on XFL Interest and Claims He Was 'Stirring up Controversy' in Latest Tweet

Johnny Manziel is clinging to relevancy these days via social media now that his football career has seemingly come to an end.
Manziel recently made some waves when he tweeted about his interest to join the XFL, before turning around and randomly deleting his entire account. Well, the account was reactivated and on Sunday Manziel came forth and backtracked on his previous comments.
Have zero desire to play any football these days. Just love stirring up controversy.

Good one, John.
So that is what "Johnny Football" is getting up to these days, just attempting to stir the pot on Twitter to keep his name relevant.
For reference, this was the tweet that got people talking:
Oliver Luck. If ya wanna boost your ratings to another level just send me the contract tomorrow and we’re in there. Like I said YEARS ago... XFL2020 give the people what they want

Manziel has been out of the NFL since 2015 and since then was ousted from the CFL, and even had a short stint in the now-defunct AAF. If he truly wanted to make it back to the gridiron, he may be able to earn a tryout with an XFL team, but it seems he's enjoying his current lifestyle just fine.
