Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto has been with the club for his entire career, despite continued lack of success and trips to the postseason. His loyalty is admirable, but it seems he wishes that players in other sports would show more allegiance to their teams.

Votto said that he used to be a big fan of the NBA, but Kevin Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors apparently turned him off to the sport.

In an interview with C. Trent Rosecrans ofThe Athletic Votto said, "I used to be a big fan of the NBA until Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors. But now that the Raptors are in the Finals... I don't know, I just don't have as much interest as I used to with sports."

Votto and the Reds have made just three postseason appearances since he debuted for the team in 2007. The six-time All-Star clearly doesn't believe in superteams.

Votto, a Canada native, admits he still loves the Raptors, despite his fandom of basketball not being at its peak.

For now, he's going to focus on turning around his early season woes at the plate, as he's slashing just .242/.340/.366 on the year.
