Joe Kelly is Starting to Turn it Around for the Dodgers in a Big Way
By Kevin Aquino

Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly has been an absolute beast on the mound lately, stringing together impressive performances over the past two months.
Kelly joined the current winningest team in the MLB (77-40) in December, and has become a major cog in Los Angeles' pitching rotation. For a team with World Series dreams, that's a really good thing.
Joe Kelly has a 1.74 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 20 2/3 IP since the start of June.

In terms of overall numbers, Kelly's 4.97 ERA is just beneath this season's league average, and he has 1 save in 13 games finished. The 31-year-old has also accumulated 47 total strikeouts this year, meaning he's racked up nearly 70% of them in this two-month hot streak.
Kelly is showing more and more of the ability that landed him a three-year, $27 million contract with the Dodgers after defeating them in last year's World Series as a member of the Red Sox.

Kelly's recent performances are a microcosm of his team's success as of late, with the Dodgers losing just once in the past week and going 8-2 in their last 10 games. LA has a whole lot of momentum going into their series with the Diamondbacks this weekend after closing out a win in St. Louis with a walk-off from Russell Martin, too. Nice work if you can get it.
