VIDEO: Russell Martin Saves Dodgers With Walk-Off 2-Run Single to Defeat Cardinals

Is it 2008 all of a sudden? Down 1-0 with two outs in the ninth and facing Carlos Martinez and the St. Louis Cardinals, Russell Martin turned back the clock and handed the Los Angeles Dodgers another late win. Martin slapped an RBI single back up the middle that plated two runs and gave the Dodgers a 2-1 win.

Martin, who has been relegated to backup duty following the emergence of Will Smith, was only hitting .219 with 12 RBI on the entire season, so he was hardly a prime candidate to walk it off. However, as the old saying goes, good teams find a way, and even the Dodgers' third catcher is getting in on the action.

If guys this far down the Dodgers roster are getting clutch hits, they're going to be even more of a problem in October than we originally thought.
